This module examines the emerging and ever-changing expectations related to the modern employee experience. Many employees today are looking to get more than just a paycheck out of their job. They are looking more deliberately for ways to accelerate their personal and professional growth and leaning into the support of their colleagues and managers. Work is no longer perceived to be a space in which you're stuck for 8 hours of the day; employees are forging authentic relationships and proactively collaborating with one another. Work-life balance and what that means to modern employees is also explored in this module. Professionals today are pushing for more flexibility and freedom when it comes to getting their work done, especially with increased access to new technologies and methods to stay connected. Flexibility plays a key role in creating a positive work environment, in which employees feel motivated. Lastly, we examine the growing importance of employee recognition and how this influences employee retention.
